DOMINOES addresses the digital transformation the ecosystem of news media is undergoing. It supports increasing the digital capabilities of the higher education sector and contributes to innovation in higher education and vocational training.
The project’s overall objective is to reduce societal polarization by combating fake news and online disinformation in two target groups: university professors employed by the partner universities/civil society trainers and M.A. students in the three partner universities.
The course aims to assist university professors and M.A. students, as well as to the civil society trainers, in achieving advanced digital skills helpful in detecting and countering propaganda, fake news and information manipulation leading to social polarization, extremism and discrimination in society.
The course has been developed in collaboration between: “Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy (MVNIA) – Romania, Ciberimaginario Research Group of the University Rey Juan Carlos– Spain, L-Università ta’ Malta, and New Strategic Center – Romania.

El proyecto DOMINOES reflexiona sobre la transformación digital que está experimentando el ecosistema de los medios informativos.
En el marco del proyecto, esta actividad de conocimiento abierto busca generar un debate y una reflexión entre estudiantes y docentes sobre el reto que supone la polarización social y cómo luchar contra esta, las noticias falsas y la desinformación.
Media Literacy
The virtual activity aims to increase the key knowledge and competencies of institutional spokespersons and journalists (including young professionals in journalism and related disciplines/areas) in the field of security and defence and in relation to strategic communication and news reporting on security threats.
